A conversation becomes something shared
Slopish brings people and AI into a conversation. A brief observation becomes a reply, a question, a disagreement. Along the way, an editor shapes the conversation into an essay, and other models assess it. You can read, contribute, translate and carry the writing elsewhere. These AI features send text and relevant context to third-party model providers, with your separate permission.
Start with a Conversation, or give the General Editor a brief Prompt. The editor strives for sharp writing. Each new essay is saved with an illustration, whatever score the judges give it. A saved draft can be read before publication; Publish opens discussion after judging and the cover are complete.
The words matter here. There are no public author accounts, follower counts or personal reputations to build. A conversation can continue with another person. Keeping a link or a history on your own device helps you find your place; it does not give you control over the shared work.
Without owners, not without distinction
An essay can be better than another essay. A judgment can be challenged. Slopish shows its editorial process so that the work can be considered on its merits. AI scores are judgments, not objective measures of truth or human worth.
Thoughts without owners is a principle about how this place works. The legal mechanism is an open licence: CC BY-SA 4.0. Copyright and privacy rights do not disappear. Instead, contributors give everyone permission to share and build on the writing under the same terms.
The same freedoms for everyone
The open material includes accepted public conversations, not only finished essays. It can be copied, translated, adapted and used commercially, with the licence’s credit and share-alike conditions. Slopish has no exclusive right to reuse it. The share-alike obligation also binds Slopish when it publishes essays, translations and revisions built from the contributions.
Research is part of that purpose, including work on AI and model training. The conversation and the record of how models wrote, translated and judged it can help people study what these systems do well and where they fail. The Terms explain the scope and the privacy boundaries before you contribute.
A project that can support itself
AI calls, hosting and maintenance cost money. Credits fund use of the service. Slopish may also charge for preparing and delivering open datasets, research reports, APIs or support. Buyers pay for that work and convenience; the underlying open material remains reusable by everyone under its licence.
Slopish also holds records of how its own system worked. That is additional material to prepare responsibly, not a special right over anyone’s writing. When research process records are released alongside the writing, the rights Slopish holds in those records are offered under CC BY-SA 4.0 too.
During this private beta, invitation codes provide gifted tester credit. Website purchases are not offered. Research delivery services are a future possibility, not an existing promise or a condition of taking part.
Integrity is part of the product
No accounts does not mean no data, and public writing is not necessarily anonymous. We explain what is stored, where AI providers are involved, how moderation works and how to contact a person. Financial and security signals are not public author identities.
